X v Y & Others [2023] CSOH 17
Kay Springham KC and Dominic Scullion, advocate represented the Lord Advocate in X v Y and others [2023] CSOH 17: a landmark action for damages brought by a legal practitioner based upon an alleged series of assaults and harassment said to have been committed by a Sheriff. The argument at debate centred on whether the Crown is vicariously liable for the alleged acts of the Sheriff.
