Rankings Success for Compass in Chambers UK 2020
Compass Chambers is delighted to have been recognised as a leading set by Chambers UK in the latest edition of the directory which was published today. Compass has received 42 individual rankings in 5 practice area categories. Compass is also ranked Band 1 as a set in 4 categories – Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Health & Safety and Product Liability.
In Personal Injury, Compass has 22 members ranked in the area and is the only set in Scotland to be recognised as Band 1. The directory says “Compass Chambers is widely recognised as the pre-eminent stable in Scotland for personal injury matters. It houses a strong bench of senior and junior advocates experienced in the handling of high-value and complex claims.” It also says that "from the clerks to the counsel, everyone at the stable is so helpful and accommodating. They're able to pick things up quickly and work out what needs to be done to resolve matters in the best way possible." Robert Milligan QC has been ranked as a Star Inidviual for Personal Injury.
In Clinical Negligence, Compass has 9 members ranked in the area and is ranked as Band 1 as a set. The directory says that “Compass is a highly regarded stable with an impressive offering of advocates who specialise in clinical negligence claims.” It also says "The advocates are very good with clients and good at preparing cases. They have a wealth of experience in medical negligence."
In Health & Safety, all Advocates ranked by Chambers UK come from Compass. Compass is again ranked Band 1 as a set in the area. The directory says Compass Chambers is a highly respected stable in Scotland with reputable and widely acknowledged experience and expertise in health and safety law. It also says "This is a fantastic outfit with highly experienced individuals who are the go-to advocates in their specialist areas and are held in the highest regard." Peter Gray QC has been ranked as a Star Individual for Health & Safety.
In Product Liability, half of the total number of Advocates ranked in the area come from Compass. Compass is also recognised as Band 1 as a set in the area. The directory says Compass is “a stable with an impressive roster of advocates frequently engaged in high-profile product liability claims.” It also says that “The stable offers comprehensive representation to both pursuers and defenders, drawing on its wider strength in clinical negligence and personal injury.”
